Parallel Society Unveils Full 2026 Lisbon Lineup: DJ Stingray 313, Los Bitchos, and More

Parallel Society has now finalised its programme for March 6–7 2026 in Lisbon’s Marvila district, confirming DJ Stingray 313 and Los Bitchos alongside the previously announced Apparat, Gilles Peterson, Clark, Moses Boyd, Calibre and Kode9. The two-day event keeps its focus on the overlap between experimental music, underground culture and civic technology, bringing together artists, technologists, activists and researchers to prototype decentralised ways of organising society. DJ Stingray 313 (Sherard Ingram) built his reputation in Detroit’s 1980s electro scene, known for rapid mixing and later for his association with Drexciya before starting Urban Tribe. Los Bitchos, operating out of London with members from Uruguay, Australia, Sweden and the UK, deliver instrumental tracks that blend cumbia rhythms, psych guitar tones and surf energy, gaining traction through festival circuits and their debut album. The rest of the bill carries serious pedigree: Apparat’s move from club-oriented techno into detailed ambient and orchestral textures, Gilles Peterson’s decades-long push for jazz and global rhythm discovery, Clark’s shape-shifting Warp catalogue and scoring work, Moses Boyd’s central role in London’s modern jazz-electronic crossover, Calibre’s foundational influence on liquid drum & bass, and Kode9’s shaping of dubstep’s early sound and theory through Hyperdub.

Day one is structured as an [un]conference, with workshops, protocol labs, discussion circles and hands-on sessions covering decentralisation, privacy tools, open-source culture and community governance. Day two turns the space into a performance platform, prioritising club sets, live experiments and genre-crossing acts. The lineup leans heavily local with over 60 percent Lisbon-based; including Gayance, Kokeshi, Violet, SoundPreta, Maria Amor & Shcuro, Chima Isaaro, Afrojamslx, Nelson Makossa and Collective Unconscious.

Logos contributes an on-site exhibition featuring paintings by João Cardoso (Cardoz), animation projections from Ana Tortos, video and sound pieces by Batu, video-print installations by João Magalhães, work from Tomás João (Nature The Artist) and 3D graphics by Collective Unconscious, all exploring non-hierarchical networks and emergent systems. As a not-for-profit event run by an international-local coalition, Parallel Society continues prioritising Portugal’s underground while connecting it to wider decentralised movements.

Louisa Haining, Curation Director, had this to say: “Parallel Society is about building practical alternatives for how culture operates. From the (un)conference to the live programme, we’re bringing together underground artists, open-call projects, and local voices to test new models of collaboration and production. This edition reflects our commitment to experimentation, shared authorship, and creating tangible opportunities for artists working outside conventional systems.
