Quiet Storm shares moody video for latest single, ‘This Place’

Croydon native Quiet Storm (musical moniker of A-list celebrity stylist Dean Aslett) has unveiled a music video for his latest single, ‘This Place’, on February 23, 2024. The music video received premiere support from notable tastemaker CLASH Magazine, while the single received praise from EARMILK. Based between London and Mykonos, Quiet Storm’s first four singles enjoyed consecutive Music Week UK Top 10 Chart positions. To boot, Dean boasts a riveting and lengthy career in the fashion industry, working for giants like Versace and styling or being a personal shopper for A-listers such as Princess Diana, Prince William, Elton John, Joan Collins, Liz Hurley and members of Duran Duran – to name but a few! He has now left the fashion business to pursue music full-time.

‘This Place’, produced by Chase Emery Davis, is a captivating dream pop track characterized by moody synthscapes, a pulsating four-on-the-floor beat, and the evocative vocals of Quiet Storm intertwined with subtle vocal samples. The accompanying black-and-white music video, directed by Dan Hart of Light Engine Films, captures Quiet Storm wandering through the vibrant streets of Paris, France, and Nerja, Spain. Amidst the bustling scenes, he appears lost in a dreamlike solitude, alternating with shots of him passionately singing, providing a glimpse into his introspective world.

Quiet Storm shared: “I wanted to reinforce the notion of the song, ‘This Place’ being set in a twilight world delving into the realm of my dreams and fantasies of a film noir landscape. The song conjures up emotions of a very French/European feel and so there was only one answer where to shoot it really, Paris.”
